Find out who is in the matchday squad to play at home to Heriot’s on Friday evening...
Head coach Fergus Pringle has named his starting XV and bench as the Super6 squad prepare to take on Heriot’s on Friday night in a top of the table clash at Myreside (7.30pm).
Both teams are on 28 point, ‘Sonians top of the table on points difference, meaning this should be a cracking contest with two regular season games remaining.
With Scotland under-20 players missing ahead of their age-grade Six Nations match with Italy next week, the home side have made just two changes to the starting XV that lost out at Stirling County on January 25.
Michael Badenhorst comes into the back-row in place of James Miller while Lomond MacPherson replaces Andrew Chalmers on the wing.
On the bench the squad are boosted by the return of hooker Ross Graham on the bench after six months out with injury.
“We will need to bring more intensity and accuracy”
Ahead of the game, Pringle said:This is the first ‘Friday Night Lights’ fixture for us this season and it’s a game the whole club is looking forward to.
“We’ve had a couple of weeks off and there are some areas we have worked hard to improve on from our game up at Stirling.
“We will need to be disciplined and bring more intensity and accuracy across the board against Heriot’s who have been on good form. Both teams will be up for it which makes for an exciting Edinburgh derby.”
