After an 18 month wait for rugby, Women's XV Head Coach Freddie Main has named his matchday squad for the Tennent's Premiership 2021/22 opener away to Heriot's Blues on Sunday (2pm).

'Sonians will be captained by Bryony Nelson at Goldenacre and with Heriot's entering the top flight for the first time it should be an interesting match up.

In late 2019, the Women's XV won the 2019/20 Premiership title, so will be looking to challenge for honours again, but will just want to get some competitive games under the belts in the next couple of weeks first.

"We are hugely excited to start the league campaign on Sunday and have a very strong squad to face Heriot's. We welcome debutants Rachel Law and Susie Clements in what is a very exciting backline," Main said.
