Saturday sees the Bears host our Watsonians at Meggetland in the FOSROC Super6 Sprint Series.

Boroughmuir Bears vs Watsonians

Watsonians head into Meggetland, sitting right on the tails of front runners Heriots, after two tight wins.

A home opener, where a last-minute penalty was enough to secure the win over Stirling County, followed by last week's bruising bonus-point win at the Southern Knights.

Head Coach Fergus Pringle was happy with the win but still feels the team can improve, saying, "We came away with 5 points against a tough Knights team down at Melrose but we know there are a few things we need to improve on collectively."

This week will pose something different for Fergus Pringle and the team as the Bears are hungrily looking for their first win.

Boroughmuir have lost both their opening games under the spotlight of being the Friday night game.

In the opening week, they lost a tight game to Ayrshire Bulls, as a late breakaway try rescued a bonus point, while last weekend, a strong Heriots attack gave them the edge over the Bears.

Watsonians Head Coach Fergus Pringle knows that despite the Bears not winning a game yet, they will be a stern test on Saturday, "The Bears are a tough team that have played well in their first two games without getting the rewards."

The coach continued, "They hold onto the ball well and are dangerous in transition situations. Their pack has also fronted up well against two strong packs in the first two games."
