Watsonian Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Marcus Di Rollo and Hannah Chrisp as the club’s new Directors of Rugby, marking an exciting new chapter as we continue to grow both the men’s and women’s game at Myreside.
Marcus Di Rollo – Director of Men’s Rugby
A familiar face to all at Watsonians, former Scotland international Marcus Di Rollo makes a proud return to the club as Director of Men’s Rugby. Having represented his country with distinction and built up extensive experience in coaching and development, Marcus brings invaluable leadership to the role.
“Watsonians has always been my club. From my playing days to coaching, it has been a huge part of my life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on the role of Director of Rugby and to help guide the club into the future.”
Hannah Chrisp – Director of Women’s Rugby
Joining Marcus in a dual leadership structure is Hannah Chrisp, who takes on the role of Director of Women’s Rugby. Hannah brings a wealth of rugby experience, having represented Scotland 7s in 2018, played Premiership rugby across multiple seasons, and been part of the Scottish Rugby Pathway programme. Beyond rugby union, Hannah has represented Scotland Touch since 2012, earning medals at European Championships and competing at World Cups.
Off the field, Hannah is a Chartered Accountant and currently works in investment and finance at renewable energy company EDF.
“I am delighted and honoured to be joining Watsonians as the Director of Women’s Rugby at such a pivotal time in the rich history of the club. The club is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and the women’s section is stronger now than ever. The 1st XV have won the Sarah Beaney Cup and finished top 3 in the Women’s Premiership for the last 3 years, and I’d like to help build on that success by creating a strategy and programme that enables the club to keep delivering results at this level for years to come.”
Building for the Future
With Marcus and Hannah stepping into these pivotal positions, Watsonians Rugby is strengthening its commitment to both men’s and women’s rugby at all levels. As the club celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2025, these appointments reflect a bold vision for the future – one built on tradition, ambition, and continued success on and off the field.
