Friday Night Lights returns to Myreside!

Head Coach Steve Lawrie has announced his squad to take on Heriots under the lights at Myreside tomorrow night. Both sets of players will be raring to go after having a week off due to the Scotland International against Fiji. A well earned rest and a chance for some players to recover from injury and make themselves available for selection.

In the pack we have a familiar looking front row with Jackson, Graham and Stanley. Charlie McKill returns to the starting line-up after being away with Scotland 7s. James Miller returns to play 6 after a couple of weeks out through injury and teams up with Michael Fedo and Connor Boyle.

Nathan Fowles is released from Edinburgh Rugby and starts at 9 which sees Murray Scott drop down to the bench. Rufus McLean and Rory Steele are unavailable and so there is a season debut on the wing for Lomond McPherson. Angus Guthrie moves from centre to the wing to accommodate the return of Rory Hutton who has been out injured.

Steve Lawrie on the game "Having scraped past Stirling County a fortnight ago in a performance full of defensive resolve, we have worked hard in training to develop a couple of areas that we believe are key to improving our overall output."

Another Edinburgh derby under the lights at Myreside is an exciting prospect for us and one that we know will require the upmost focus in order to be successful. Heriots are currently in a rich vein of form and have shown an ability to score through various means.

We hope there is another bumper crowd as Friday Night Lights returns to Myreside.

For those who are unable to attend, the match will be streamed LIVE! via the Watsonian Football Club Facebook page and there will be live updates on Twitter (@WATSONIANFC).
