First home game of 2019 in the Tennent's Premiership this weekend.
We return to the Tennent's Premiership action this weekend with the 1XV playing Glasgow Hawks at Myreside, kick off 3pm. With the match against Hawick going ahead (against all odds!) before Christmas, Head Coach Steve Lawrie used the free weekend to organise a 'friendly' match against Heriots.
This week our pack has a fairly settled look to it. Charlie McKill returns to the starting lineup with Craig Borthwick out injured. This means that Jamie Hodgson takes over as Captain and Rory Hutton as vice. Connor Boyle returns and starts at 7 whilst Edinburgh Rugby have released Cammy Fenton who is on the bench.
No major changes in the backline from the Hawick game. The experienced Lee Millar returns from injury to start at 10 which means Ewan Fox drops to the bench. Angus Guthrie starts on the wing in the place of Rory Steele who is amongst the replacements.
We gave the guys a bit of time off over the festive period but we have worked hard in training this week following our hit out against Heriots. Hawks will pose us many challenges and in particular we have highlighted the strength of their offloading game which they use to great effect.
With the Bill Mclaren Shield up for grabs and vital league points at stake this should be a cracker.
Tomorrow's match will be streamed LIVE! on our Facebook Page with coverage starting at 2.55pm. On the Mic this week is 1XV skipper Craig Borthwick.
