Head Coach Fergus Pringle selects the matchday 23...

Watsonians Rugby Head Coach Fergus Pringle has named the matchday 23 for the FOSROC Super6 2021 match at home to Heriot's Rugby on Friday (7.30pm).

After a superb second half showing against the Southern Knights a fortnight ago to end the first half of the regular season with a win and sitting top of the table, there is just one change to the starting XV with Edinburgh Rugby player Sam Grahamslaw, who turned out for the club in 2019/20, available to start at loosehead prop.

He replaces Harrison Courtney who takes up a place on the bench. Thomas Jeffrey, Kwagga Van Niekerk and FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy scrum-half Roan Frostwick are also added to the replacements.

Pringle said: "The week's break came at a good time for all the squads as the games have come around quickly and have been intense and physical contests.

"We’re all looking forward to the second round of games starting with Heriot's at Myreside on Friday night. We learnt some tough lessons down at Goldenacre in our last meeting in round four and are keen to put those lessons into practice on Friday night. After a solid performance against the Knights in round five, we know the areas we need to improve on in order to give ourselves a chance against Heriot's."
