Head Coach Fergus Pringle selects the matchday 23...

Watsonians Rugby Head Coach Fergus Pringle has named the matchday 23 for the FOSROC Super6 2021 match away to Heriot's on Saturday (3pm).

The Myreside men travel across Edinburgh to Goldenacre off the back of three wins so far in the league, but know it will be a tough game against their old rivals.

With Jamie Forbes out injured after he took a knock last Friday against Boroughmuir Bears, Harvey Elms shifts from the wing to full-back while there are starts on the wings for Ru Smith and Lomond Macpherson, the former making his first appearance of the season after injury.

The rest of the backline remains the same as last time out. Centre Lewis Berg is named as Vice-Captain.

Up front Harrison Courtney and Steven Longwell come in at looosehead and tighthead prop respectively with hooker Cal Davies, who we spoke to this week, taking over the captaincy duties from Forbes.

The rest of the pack stays the same apart from Campbell Wilson coming in for Connor Boyle in the number seven jersey.

Young prop Thomas Jeffrey could make a debut off the bench.

Pringle said: "We’re looking forward to the challenge of going down to Goldenacre to take on Heriot's.

"They have real quality players and a lot of experience across their squad. We have made the most of a slightly longer turn around from our last game and worked hard this week. Our focus is still trying to put in a consistent 80 minute performance which we will need to get the result on Saturday."
