FOSROC Super6 squad member moves to Kingsholm...

The club would like to wish tighthead prop Jack Stanley all the best for the future after he joined Gloucester Rugby with immediate effect.

He has played at the club over the last couple of years whilst also being on Edinburgh Rugby’s books and his performances in the FOSROC Super6 in recent months has helped him earn this chance at one of England’s top clubs.

Stanley is a former England under-20s cap who was previously a member of the Exeter Chiefs Academy, before moving on to Edinburgh ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The 23-year-old arrived in Gloucester on Monday and joined his new team mates for training on Tuesday.

Gloucester director of rugby David Humphreys admitted that he’s happy to have an extra option in the front row going forward:“It’s been well documented that we’ve had some injuries in the front-row this season, especially at tighthead, with Ruan Dreyer and Jamal Ford-Robinson both ruled out at times.

“As a young English tighthead, Jack will give us some strength in depth at prop for the rest of this season but more importantly, for the long term future.

“He’s still a very young player who has worked with Peter Walton in the past, and we’re all looking forward to seeing Jack fulfil his potential at Gloucester Rugby.”
