Round-up from October 23 and 24...

The Women's XV are now third in the Tennent's Premiership after they turned on the style to defeat Heriot's Blues at Myreside.

The 39-3 triumph with a bonus point means that the team are third in the table, five points off top spot, ahead of a trip to pacesetters Corstorphine Cougars this coming weekend.

On Saturday, the men's 1st XV came ever so close to posting their first win of the Tennent's National League Division One campaign. They plated well in defence and attack at Myreside and led 27-22 with moments remaining, but a late converted try gave Stirling Wolves a 29-27 victory.

A losing bonus point then and plenty for the squad to build on.

On the same day the men's 2nd XV were edging out Preston Lodge 36-31 after a cracking patch in Prestonpans.

The win was the team's third of the campaign in Tennent's East Reserve League Division Two.
