WFC have to report that our Club Doctor Al Dewar has passed away...

It is with a very heavy heart that WFC have to report that our Club Doctor Al Dewar passed away aged 36 earlier this week after a brave, but short fight against illness.

Al joined the club back in 2017 and became an important lead figure in our medical team.

WFC Director of Rugby Chris Hunter said: “Al always worked with a smile on his face and there was never a problem that couldn't be solved when he was around.

“His professionalism and personality will be dearly missed at Myreside.

“Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and colleagues at this time.”

Al is survived by wife Sara and his two sons Daniel and Luke.
