WFC 1st XV coaching team members Bruce Ruthven and Gordon Smith are leaving the club, it has been confirmed.
The duo arrived at Myreside last summer and helped a young squad put in some great performances - especially at home where they only lost once - as they ended the cut short Tennent’s National League Division One 2019/20 season safely in mid table.
Head Coach Ruthven will leave at the end of May while Smith, who was Forwards Coach, will depart at the end of April.
WFC Director of Rugby Chris Hunter said: “On behalf of WFC, I would like to place on record our thanks to Bruce and Gordon for their work at the club this season and wish them all the best.
“WFC will now be looking for a new Head Coach for the club’s 1st XV for season 2020/21 and further information will be made available in due course.”
