Alistair Hamilton takes up the General Manager role with Watsonians.

We are delighted to announce that Watsonians Rugby have just this week appointed Alistair Hamilton as their Super Series General Manager.

Alistair comes to this role after successful stints within Scottish Rugby for both Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby, where he was primarily responsible for sponsorship management and business development, ensuring that both clubs continued to grow commercially. Alistair has also enjoyed a spell at the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAS) where he led on the strategy and growth of their corporate partnerships programme.

Upon joining the 2022 FOSROC Super 6 Champions, Alistair said: “I’m delighted to be here. The entire team are brilliant and it is clear that they are all incredibly passionate about the Club. It is so impressive to see what they’ve been able to achieve despite their time constraints with full-time jobs and commitments.

“My ultimate role is to ensure that the teams function as well off the pitch as they have been doing on the pitch, so I’ll have a massive focus on ensuring we continue to innovate commercially by partnering with brands who align with the Club’s core values. I’m also really excited to get to know our existing partners who have supported Watsonians Rugby so much over the last few years to see how we can really activate the sponsorship effectively for them.”

On Alistair’s appointment, WFC President Richard Kelly said: “We are delighted to have someone of Alistair's experience join the management team here at Watsonians. He is a great addition for us and will help us further drive our ambition at Myreside."

Watsonian Rugby Chair of Super Series Board, Euan Kennedy, added: "Alistair is a great person to add to the team and the Club. He'll bring his experience of the professional game to the Super Series section of our club and help take us to the next level in the ever-changing world of rugby."

Alistair started his position with the Club on Monday, 17th of April and will soon be a familiar face around Myreside. Please contact him on:
